Hotel wheeling and dealing

The corner stone of your holiday is more often than not the hotel that you stay in. Coincidentally or not, it’s also one of the biggest expenses you’ll have on your holiday, perhaps second to your flight into your holiday destination, but not always.

If you’re on a budget, either especially tight or not, the price of a hotel room can make or break your holiday. If you’re particularly squeamish about where you sleep, which is absolutely justifiable, it can get even harder to find a cheap place to stay, as the cheaper hotels and hostels do tend to be slightly strange looking.

If you’re serious about finding a cheap room in a relatively fancy hotel, be it a cheap pension in London or luxury hotels in Dorset, there are a few steps you can take. The first thing we’d recommend is going to nearby travel agencies and see if you can find some good deals there. Whether you find a good deal or not, you should still look at online deals and make some use of your internet in finding cheap hotel rooms. Most hotels and booking websites have an online form you can fill out and find out when the best time is to stay at the hotel.
